Cape Cod

Mommy & Daddy's annual Cape Cod trip! This was the first one for me. It was so much fun!!! Every year Mommy & Daddy get together with their friends in Cape Cod (most of which Mommy went to elementary school with!) We rent a house and spend Memorial Day weekend together. I got to spend time with lots of people, hang out at the beach and watch everyone eat seafood :) It was such a great time!

Here are some photos from the weekend:

I love this picture with Daddy :)

Paul gave these gloves to Beverly as a birthday present. Somehow they ended up on my feet.

After the Cape we stopped in Rhode Island to visit with Daddy's family for Memorial Day. We had a really nice time at Dana & Billy's. Mommy had a hula hoop contest with Rachel, I got really close with a couple puppies and had so much fun being passed around to everyone. We can't wait until this summer to go back again!

So much to write!

Mommy is so very sorry for the serious delay in updating the blog. Between work and me she's been quite busy! I promise this entry will be packed full of Tyler-milestone facts and fabulous pictures.

First of all I want to proudly announce that at my 4.5 month checkup on April 29th the doctor was very impressed! (go me and Mommy's food) I weighed in at 14 lbs 11 ounces, 24 inches long. yay! Sadly, I had to have another set of vaccines (boo) but despite the stabbing injections and the yummy Rota virus that I get to ingest, it wasn't too bad. I bounced back quickly immediately following but I was pretty grumpy, stoned-looking and sleepy for a few days after.

The weekend of May 2nd Mommy & Daddy attended a voice-over conference in Schenectady (Mommy was a VIP!) and they hung out with some very cool people in the industry. So I had my first babysitting experience with Aunt Jenny on Friday night and then with Grammy on Saturday! It was so much fun and Mommy & Daddy were so happy that I was returned in one piece (not that they had any doubts of course) that they would gladly let either of them babysit again :)

Here are some photos from that event:

On May 6th Mommy had a class in NJ so we got to visit with Great-Grandpa Poppa Joey beforehand. Since I am getting much better at sitting up it was easier for him to hold me. I gave him lots of nice, wet kisses and played with his beautiful white hair. PJ even tried to eat my feet, which kept me quite entertained.

I'm getting better at sitting up, I still needed a little assistance here...

I even got to hang out with Cousin Adrian. He made me laugh!

little feet, big feet

Then the next day I hung out with Grandma & Grandpa and Aunt Lisa. This was the day before Grandpa's surgery. Notice the wheelchair - he didn't need it after the surgery!! We spent the day outdoors walking and talking, spitting up and napping, it was very nice :)

On May 10th Mommy & Daddy's friends Lisa & Dave came to visit. It was so exciting to see them. The last time we got together was at their wedding in January. It was so great to see them again!

Happy 1st Mother's Day Mommy! I was so excited to wake up and greet Mommy with big smiles and giggles :)

These next photos were taken during our Ohio & Michigan trip, May 11th-17th. We're becoming pros at family travel! We have so much fun seeing the country together. One fond memory from this trip is when Mommy & I got stuck in the hotel elevator in Ohio. Luckily for us it was half glass so we could see out. 40 minutes later we were freed and walked out to a wall of 12 fireman, lots of hotel workers and guests. Good times! No worries, we weren't scared. Actually, it was quite humerus!

On our first stop I got to meet Carly - Mommy's childhood friend (originally from Florida). We hung out in Cleveland where she's living now.

I love the water, I might swim before I walk ;)

I was being helpful while Mommy & Daddy packed up

Yay, breakfast buffet (not really for me, I'd already eaten)

Then at the very end of our trip Mommy's last class was canceled so we were able to make it to Jersey in time for Chloe's party! Chloe is the granddaughter of Grandpa's Cousin. It was so exciting to meet her. She was born on January 20th, 1 month and 2 days after me. I can't wait to see her again! :)

Here is Daddy, me, Chloe and her Grandpa Stanley

aren't we the cutest couple?

Mommy & the boys!

I was talking with Great Grandpa PJ

his finger looked tasty!

Cousin Adrian was there too! Here's Mommy's cousin Amanda (Adrian's Mom), Daddy and me. All the boys were sportin the stripes ;)

Then on our way back from NJ we decided to surprise Great Grandma Oma. She was SO excited to see us!

May 21st - 5 months, 3 days old: I'm holding myself sitting up!! I was so proud.

The next day we met up with Grandma & Grandpa at the mall.

Here is Grandpa after the surgery - he looks so great!

The end :)
